In 1998 the Second Annual International Youth Summit took place concurrently with the Fifth Annual Teachers Meeting in Chattanooga, USA. Students were invited to present workshops on how they were using telecommunications in educational, action/service, and leadership projects. ------------>

Between 1994-1996 the Annual I*EARN Meeting was primarily for educators. However, in 1996 students working on I*EARN projects requested a chance to meet as well. In 1997 the First Annual Youth Summit was held in Barcelona, Spain, concurrent with the Fourth Annual Teachers Meeting, including youth from 17 countries.

In 1999, the Third Annual International Youth Summit took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, concurrently with the Sixth Annual Teachers Conference. This was an exceptional opportunity for students to gain technical, Internet/WWW and other telecommunications skills. Students were invited to present workshops on how they are using telecommunications in educational, action/service, and leadership projects.
Youth Summit FUTURE

It's the year 2000, the Fourth Annual International Youth Summit is just around the corner. In Beijing, China we will have a gathering for youth from 15-20 different nations across the world. At the summit the youth will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun interactive workshops. Addressing issues of tele-education, team building, project work and many more. As the conference comes to a close, the youth will facilitate a plenary session for the participants of the entire conference.

For the youth that are under the age of 18 years. There is a required parental release form that your guardian/parent has to fill out in order for you to attend the conference.
