iEARN-Yemen hosts Youth Learning for Change Workshops in Taiz and Hodayda
From Mach 16 - 28, 2013, the iEARN-Yemen team conducted the third and fourth in a series of "Youth Learning for Change" workshops in the Taiz and Hodayda governorates - 6 days in each governorate.
The iEARN-Yemen team trained 26 educators and 47 students from each governorates on essential life skills, including Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Peer Education, community-based projects design and management as well as iEARN in two separate workshops. The 73 participants were active members in iEARN and are now working on 10 community-based projects that will be presented in the project’s Open Days event taking place next summer.
Participants were committed and showed great potential. They discussed a range of topics, including violence in schools and their rights in their view.
The project is funded MEPI and supervised by SOUL for Development, the umbrella organization of iEARN-Yemen.
