iEARN-Yemen conducts workshops in Ibb and Tareem
Supervised by SOUL for Development and funded by the US Embassy, iEARN-Yemen conducted the first and second Open Days in Ibb and Tareem on September 9 and October 4, 2012 respectively.
These two open days are part of a series of five Open Days to be conducted in five governorates in Yemen under the “Learning for Active Citizenship” Project.
The Open Days are prepared by students and teachers who worked hard in a full educational year semester to make the change in their community through the community-based projects they implemented.
Officials from the Ministry of Education and the Local Authorities, parents, teachers, students and school principles attended the ceremony where students presented the outcomes of their community-based projects. Also they performed songs and plays celebrating their achievements. By the end of the two Open Days, participating students and teachers were handed in participation certificates.
