In March 2000, I*EARN-USA conducted a two-week training for teachers in Lebanon through a project sponsored by the United States State Department. This is part of a larger project involving six countries--Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to use telecommunications technology to engage in civics projects in English.  A similar workshop for additional schools was held in February 2002.
