In March 2000,
I*EARN-USA conducted a two-week training for teachers in
Lebanon through a project sponsored by the United States State Department.
This is part of a larger project involving six countries--Lebanon, Jordan,
Egypt, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to use telecommunications technology
to engage in civics projects in English.
A similar workshop for additional schools was held in February
2002. Kelly Teamey, working with the Lebanese Ministry of Education and US Embassy staff, provided the introduction to computers and collaborative project work through the I*EARN network. A special thanks to Anne O'Leary, Abdou Yammine and Eliane Metni. Here are some photos from the trainings. |
