Jamaica Education 2000 is creating a pilot project to demonstrate that students' writing, reading, critical thinking, technical and other learning skills can be enhanced through the integration of technology and hands-on scientific exploration.

| An initial group of 26 schools in St. Catherine Parrish are being equipped with computer and telecommunications technology. Principals, teachers and students were introduced to new methodologies, technologies and theories on how students can learn basic skills in an introductory workshop held in Guy's Hill in March 2000. | |||||||||||||||||||||
